With her personal highlights so far including getting hand-picked by Snoop Dogg to join him in the stage at the YouTube Brandcast in May 2013 Niykee has maintained an unstoppable songwriting schedule despite the hectic recent years. Now a magnet for up-and-coming artists, she is constantly looking over beats that are sent to her and discovers that a lot of them end up sparking song ideas. After just five minutes when I'm able to determine if a particular beat is worthwhile. Then, I get the idea of a whole song inside my head and begin to compose. While I play the guitar on my front porch the words begin to flow. A majority times, it's completed in just 30 minutes. Niykee continues to develop her talents as a writer and lyricist. She says that her experiences of suffering during her childhood is a constant source of unique ideas. "Even even if I'm not writing about my personal life it is the loss of my sister as well as my difficult childhood experiences are integrated in my lyrics," she says. The loss of my sister, and the memories of my childhood influences the songs I write. It is important for me to have a deep meaning to everything I do.
