Ariel Winter, born Ariel Winter Workman (Janurary 28th 1998) in Los Angeles California is an American performer, singer and voice-actor. Ariel began her acting career at an early age. Ariel was featured in the Cool Whip ad when she was just 6 years old. When she was 7 Ariel landed her first television role on an episode on CBS's sitcom Listen Up! In the following years she appeared on the likes of Monk Bones or ER. In 2007, she was cast as Gretchen in her role on the Disney Original Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb. Her breakthrough live-action appearance in the role of Alex Dunphy in the hit TV series Modern Family two years later. The rest of her cast received four Screen Actors Guild Awards for Most Outstanding Ensemble Performance of a Comedy Series. Ariel is still voicing characters in films such as ParaNorman Cloudy, With A Chance Of Meatballs & Scooby-Doo! Stage Fear. Ariel has achieved a Purple belt in Taekwondo. She is the younger sister of actors Shanelle Workman as well as Jimmy Workman. She's also a skilled musician, and has an ensemble called WickedSweet.
