Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she was able to get straight As in the A-levels she took. In response to questions about her role in Emmerdale, she said that she regrets having not had a traditional university experience. Coleman was a part of a theatre company, In Yer Space while in school. She performed with them during the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. In addition to receiving a prize for her acting, the play that she performed was well-received. Whilst auditioning for drama schools Coleman got the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman was nominated for awards in 2007 and won two Awards. She was named Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In 2009, she received nominated in the two categories including Best Actress-Sexiest Female as well as Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman is nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman, who had replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series and was to play the role with Matt Smith. Moffat picked her to play the part because she was the most efficient with Smith and could speak more rapidly than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the field of film since 1987. Her most well-known work is her television work rather than the film industry. Eva has appeared in a number of television characters, however Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami have stood out. The actress was nominated 2 "Daytime Emmys" for her first part in both shows, as well as getting a chance explore the musical side of her. Eva is not just an actor, but also a businesswoman and philanthropist. Her third husband is the father of her daughter.
